Connect with the world
In the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, many Ukrainian children have lost their shelter and homes. As high school students, we decided to do our part for this international community and help these children. We plan to collect the paintings of Ukrainian children and print them on the cover of the drip bags. The proceeds of the drip bags, after deducting the material costs, will be donated to relief organizations, rehabilitation centers, and distressed children in Ukraine.
Collecting drawings
We were lucky to have the chance to introduce our project to Ms. Yuila Maksymova, an Ukrainian teacher from Taipei European School. Coffee Kids was also lucky to get in touch with the Metelitsa Dance Group, a dance academy in Ukraine, with the help of Mr. Yulia, and successfully obtained the works of the little drawers. Many of the drawings were even obtained by Mr. Yulia from Ukrainian magazines. The works printed on the drip bags all reveal the children's hopes for peace.
Coffee drip bags
We have collected Ukrainian school children's drawings and paired them with the highest quality Nordic Approach coffee beans to make them into drip bags. This time, a total of sixteen drip bags are available for sale, nine of which are from school children currently in Ukraine. Others come from the organization Kids' Needs Ukraine, which supports children's dental care.
Market Stalls
With the assistance of Mr. Yulia, our hanging ear bags made their debut at the Taipei European Festival Market and received a great response. In just two days, 1,000 bags of hanging ear bags were sold, and the amount of money was nearly 50,000. We also regularly participate in market stalls to promote Ukraine projects. During the Dragon Boat Festival this year, we went to the Taiwan Folklore Museum in Beitun District, Taichung City to participate in the market of the old things festival and set up a charity sale. We also sold Ukrainian drip bags at the market for the first time, and the crowd was also attracted by our support for Ukraine.
Donations to Children's Organizations
In the first stage we decided to donate 3000 euros to the City of Goodness, a local Ukrainian charity with the goal of helping women and children. They use their resources to provide children and women with food, clothing and medical care. Our #standwithukraine project hopes to pass on everyone’s love and resources to the children of Ukraine, and the goals of City of goodness is exactly in line with our philosophy, so we decided to donate to the organization first.
Ukrainian Families
We recently supported ten Ukrainian children in need, providing 800 euros per family to support the family's living needs, emergency aid, and medical expenses. Each Ukrainian child' even made a video to thank Coffee Kids and Taiwan, which also made us feel very touched and worth it!
