七歲烏克蘭小畫家Zabolotna Vika的Ukraine is my homeland!
Vyshyvanka Day celebrates the traditional embroidered clothes as part of Ukrainian cultural customs. It not only represents Ukrainian traditions, but also symbolizes Ukraine’s national identity and strength. Every third Thursday in May, Ukrainians around the world would dress in embroidered shirts to participate in festivals and parades in celebration.
Today is also Taiwan’s first Vyshyvanka Day celebration as a picnic event in Taipei. We are very happy that our coffee drip bags, with the help of Ms.Yulia, also featured as gifts and souvenirs and were sold throughout the event.
One of our drip bag from the #standwithukraine project also shows a drawing that echoes the traditions of Vyshyvanka. In Ukrainian girl Zabolotna Vika’s Ukraine is my homeland!, a girl wears a skirt with wide wings colored in blue and yellow. The skirt is decorated with Ukrainian traditional red-black patterns that are typical of Vyshyvanka customs.
